Stanley Cup Kings

11.06.2012 - Staples Center, Los Angeles, USA. LA Kings win the Stanley Cup for the first time in club history, beating 4:2 in 6 games the New Jersey  Devils.

Wayne Gretzky, best ice hockey player ever, guided the Kings in the 1993 finals, but lost against the Montreal Canadiens of goaltender legend Patrick Roy.

"The victory caps one of the most remarkable postseason runs in League history. Los Angeles was in 11th place in the Western Conference with 14 games remaining in the regular season, and the Kings didn't earn a spot in the postseason until during Game No. 81. From that point, the Kings were nearly unstoppable. Los Angeles became the first No. 8 seed to win the Cup, the first team to defeat the top three teams in its conference and the first team with any seed to win the first three games of all four series, including the first two on the road in each round." -cited from www.nhl.com-

Players with FLYERS fans

26.05.2012 - Kloten, Switzerland. Impressive FLYERS fans rally in the streets of Kloten. The event was organized by the players (!), in their intent to do whatever possible to save the organization (oldest ice hockey club in the Swiss National League!), which is in jeopardy after few years of bad management. Estimated 5000 people joined players and staff at the arena. Follow the developments on: www.flyersforever.ch/worldpress.
