18.05.2012 – Schulthess Klinik, Zürich. Kimmo Rintanen, the „old finn friend“ is visiting … After 10 seasons with the Kloten Flyers (2001-2011), and one with HC Lugano (2011-12), he’s leaving definetively Switzerland.
Kimmo was one of the best players who ever played the game on the Swiss ice hockey rinks (someone said that Kimmo was the best left winger outside the NHL …). He was 3x Finland Champion with TPS Turku, won 3x Silver medals and 2x Bronze medals at World Championships and Olympic Games with Finland. With Kloten Flyers he played and lost two tight final series (both against HC Davos) in 2009 and 2011.
